Not splurging for a cigar roller, but was thinking of having some cigars available for some cigar smokers at the wedding...
What do you think? I know a lot of the guys I work with smoke cigars, so I was thinking of just having a box or two of cigars out in the bathroom or on the deck of the beach for guys to take one, if they wanted. I know cigar lovers would appreciate it, but I don't really want to have it as a 'favor'... just as something for them to enjoy. In the beginning, I was contemplating the cigar roller thing, but I couldn't justify that expense for us. But, I'd still like to provide something for the cigar guys.

i think thats a nice idea. maybe put a box on every table, with a note indicating they are for everyone's smoking pleasure while they're at ur wedding. some people might be tempted to bring the box home.

We did a cigar bar at our wedding and it went over well. We went to a smoke shop and purchased a box of popular cigars (also DH fave) and announced to everyone who wanted to partake could go out and enjoy.

cool! How many did you buy for how many guests total at your wedding? And how do you know what quality to buy? i know nothing about cigars! I don't want to buy totally cheap ones for guys that know good cigars, but I don't want to spend a lot, either. Thanks!

We put them out after dinner. Actually DH picked out the cigars b/c I had no idea about them. We purchased 50 cigars but only put out 25 at a time. We ended up bringing the second 25 homw ith us. We had 125 people at the wedding. HTHPS- I understand your concern about having people take a while to smoke them and missing a good chunk of the wedding but it really was ok. Again that was just my experience.

My dad got us a humidor filled with cigars (I'd say maybe 40 cigars) and we put it out in the bar area of the reception site. My husband now has the humidor as a keepsake. It was a nice idea!

We had ours out for the after party, which was on the back deck of our hall where we served the cordials. It was a huge hit! The cigars went really quickly - I didn't even managed to snag one for our 'membory box'. I am lucky enough to have a friend that works for a cigar distributor so he was able to get us custom bands with our names and the wedding date. The idea is great - you should go for it!
