Hellooooo girls! Update on me

Ok, so I am feeling a bit guilty because I swore up and down that I would not fall off the face of the earth after I got married.

I haven't been around because of many reasons and NOT because I don't feel like posting anymore. I started teaching 8th grade in a new school (smae district) so I am SwAMPED with lesson planning as my boss is being a total PAIN and getting to know the new school, which also has a new asst. principal and principal so everyone is on their 'best behavior' till we get the feel for how they run the place so to speak.

The house is coming along and I will have pics asap. This weekend my dad put the formica on the existing countertops to match the formica on the island that he built us. We also got a new (awesomely deep) sink and faucets. Rob put lights under the cabinets and we got a new fixture for the kitchen overhead light as well. We also put together the desk for the office and got a temporary shade for the half-circle window in the livingroom because our house faces directly West and it was KILLER everyday around 4pm when the sun starts to drop. The onyl thing left to do upstairs is get new handles for the cabinets. Once the downstairs is down the livingroom will be moved down there and we will put all wood floors up here while it is vacant. BUSY BUSY!!!

I also start two grad classes tomorrow in case I wasnt busy enough already!!!

So all that just to say that I miss you guys and I am still on here a lot reading, but havent had time to post much. I am SO SO SO excited for a certain BETSY's wedding pictures this weekend!!!!!

I have to say though...this married thing ROCKS!!! I love having my own house and living with DH. I even like to clean and cook (who knows if this will last) anndddd I still promise to host a LIW GTG as soooonnn as the house is done.

ETA: FRED update

How could I forget!!! Actually little Fred is doing quite well. He is still very 'barky' in his new house BUT he has graduated from staying in his crate while Im at work to being gated off in the whole kitchen It makes me feel soooo much better that he can walk around and hang out in a bigger space and the neighbors say they dont hear a peep out of him all day so YAY fred!!! The only problem is when I get home he is a LUNATIC but he is just happy to see his mom! I lost the cable for my digi cam in the move so I need to find it and get some new Fred pics up!

you definitely sound busy! i love married life too!!! i NEVER used to cook or clean or do laundry and now i take pride in it! i love taking care of our home and of DH!!!! i've become such a wife!!!

So wonderful to hear that things are progressing well for you Jen! Congrats on it all!! I hope the house plans continue to come along and just remember to breathe about work and grad school! It will all come together for you in the end, just keep the faith! Can't wait to see the photos! And I promise - wedding photos will not be withheld! My LIW girls can post all they want!

So glad to hear things are going well for you Jen!!!! I'm jealous that you and your DH have gotten so much done on your house. FH and I don't evne live in ours and we still have so much do to (with 5 weeks to go). Good luck in your new school!!!! I'm sure you'll catch a swing of things (and figure out the new princiap soon). Thanks everyone... Im just constantly EXHAUSTED to the point where DH keeps asking if there is something wrong with me. I told him MOST DEFINATELY, but thats not why Im tired ahahahahahah.

I just cant seem to get into the swing of things this school year and 5 hours sleep a night is no longer cutting it...maybe Im getting old?!?!?!

Don't beat yourself up too much...most of the teachers have stopped posting as much. I didn't realize you were a teacher for a while and when you were constantly sitting around waiting on furniture I thought, man, this girl has some serious vacation days OR her job is REALLY lenient!

Actually the prinicpal and asst. principal are new to the buiilding this yearand they are NO JOKE. They are SLAMMING kids and places all these rules on them and they dont know what has hit them SOOOO my kids have been perfect angels, besides one class of demons that is.

I like the new school but it is lonely and I miss my old buddies from the HS, I do NOT miss being 'away' from my dept. chair though. He is stationed at the HS so I see him rarely and that makes me
