Need bach party ideas~with a 16yr old to come~sorry long

Hey girls,

So, my bridal party who consists of 2 bm's and my sister who is my MOH, is starting to think of things to do for a bachlorette party. Only thing, my sister(MOH) is only 16yrs old.

My one bm emailed me that we should maybe go into the city and go dancing etc., but I said I wanted my sister included. I said that we could go out to dinner or something beforehand but then maybe try to go out with us and do something afterwards, possibly trying to get a place that will allow my sister to come in (I know, stretching a bit).

Well, my bm forwarded her the email saying we would drop her off at home (which my bm had wrote-not me) and my sister was upset. I guess she showed my mom, and my mom asked me why my bm would send the email to my sister. (Like I would know). My sister was upset bc she felt like my other bm's didn't want her to come and she wasn't welcome. My mom said she started getting tears in her eyes, and said that she would just lie and tell the other bm's that she had to work, so that we could go out without her. My sister knew that I wanted her there, and she told my mom that no, Janine wants me to go out with them.

So I emailed my bm's and let them know that I want my sister to be encorporated into what ever we do, and it if means not going out to a club, then that is fine. I'd rather remember spending time with all my bm's than remembering how my sister felt unwanted.

So, I need ideas for a bachelorette party that are 16 yr old friendly.

i kind of have the same problem my sisters are 15 and 20(MOH) so i was thinking maybe do something like a spa day w/ everyone, and maybe dinner, and comedy show. somehting simple that everyone could enjoy, it can be a little pricy but to make everyone happy it works

I thought of the spa as well, then my bm said you had to be 18 to go ...I was like what?!?!

I'm gonna have to look into it for them I guess...the comedy show is a good idea...

We went to a spa for mine, and it was great. I never heard of the 18+ rule, I am sure you can find a spa that will allow your sister!

that is what I said...then when I went to: http://www.christopherjonsalonandspa.com/ it says has to be 18 yrs old...UNLESS you have a parent's permission..which we would have...

I just went to Sandalwood Day Spa, which was AWESOME, and I asked about that b/c I have a 13 year old Junior BM and she said that it's okay for her to participate. She even said it was ok for my 8 year old flowergirl to participate, they just obviously wouldn't give her a real facial and stuff that's harsher on the skin.

But some other ideas...
I'm doing that cruise on the Norwegian Dawn for my BP...my cousin is only 18 and she has a similar issue to your sister so that way she can still come, hang out and it won't be an issue.

What about dinner and a broadway play?
Or there's that Awesome 80's prom which is an off-broadway play, so I wonder if your sister can go to that even though it's at Webster hall?
There's also the DJ Chef thing that you do at home that looks like a lot of fun too.

I agree to try to find a spa that will let your sister in. And you know you will have aprent permission so you are set! Two of my cousins who are bridesmaids are under 18 as well and I think I will be going to same route! Good Luck!!

You don't have to be 18 to go to the spa. My aunt owns a day spa out in Mt Sinai and I used to work there, I've never heard of them turning someone down. FM if you want into.

Ohhh i feel so sorry for her!!!! I was in a BP when I was 16 and we went to a japanese steak house. Afterwards we went to one of the other BM's apartments and hung out and drank mixed cocktails... Maybe you guys can have one of those sex toy parties or something along that line that you can hold at a house so she can attend.. She'll probably be embarressed but I'm sure she'll just be happy to be there anyway!!! lol

or maybe that chef guy that does parties??? Something along those lines... good luck!

When my mom asked me, I started to get upset bc I felt bad, bc I know I wouldn't want to feel left out either. I don't think we'll do the sex toy party...no need to freak her out with that stuff...lol....japansese steak house sounds yummy....thanks for the idea!

you should try like one of those off broadway shows. i dont' think there's an age limit. you might want to call first.

She's 16 so we are not looking at the virgin mary here (no implying she isn't one just that 16 is not 13). So why not go to dinner have a blast and get a stripper. I have been to a few bp where the striper comes to the house. The don't get naked (if you tell them anyway they hold a towel over it so no one can see) and it would be a grown up party she could go to.

go into the city, get dinner and see a show or something. there are also a lot of scavanger hunts people organize throughout the ciry or geocaching (google it, it's a lot of fun!).

you could get makeovers, go to a spa.

oh! you kow what i just thought of? go to Lips or Lucky Cheng's (drag queen resturants in the city). they're SOOO much fun and i'm pretty sure they don't have a minimum age, though i could be wrong.

i've heard naked boys singing is really great!!! my sister and fh's sister will only be 16 at my b-party, i was thinking of dropping them off after dinner, but now after reading ur posts i feel like i should include them .although i don't know if FMIL and my mom will be happy to know their daughters will be seeing naked men. hmmmmm. . . .

Hey. . I tried Sandelwood Day Spa also and they have stuff for teens like mini facials and mini massages. Def try them out. There in Massapequa and they allow you to have BP in the place where all the girls hangout in robes and order pizza. It sounds like a lot of fun. Do something like that with your sister and then maybe do something like a club the following Friday night with your friends or something, like a happy hour that way everybody gets what they want.
