Military Brides come in: Arch of Sabers?

Anyone know a local ROTC or National Gaurd unit that does the Arch of Sabers somewhere in LI??? FI and I want to do it after the church but dont know who to contact. He trains in CT, so we dont want to make his unit come all the way to LI just for that.... any suggestions?

Re: Military Brides come in: Arch of Sabers?

Hi There,

I am not a military bride and have no clue what the arch of sabers are, but there is a military base by my house in Queens called Fort Totten if that helps any. Maybe you could contact them and see what they say.

Good luck!

If ROTC groups can do it, perhaps you could contact some of the local college's ROTC programs? Maybe Hofstra has one?

King's Point might help you out on the midshipman side if he's Navy. Not sure who to call but contact numbers for the school are on the website.

Just FYI, in the Navy it's a sword arch vice saber arch even though they are the only service to use sabers not swords. USMC, Army, AF all carry swords but they call it a saber arch...backwards I know.

Just thought I'd add my DH and I had his military friends and a few of my cousins do ours...perhaps you FH's friends that are serving could do the same, if they are able. You could then just get swords/sabers from a local base/unit.
