What is everyone throwing..

at the church??

I know there are some rules, I havent asked my church yet what is allowed...but what is everyone doing?

We aren't allowed to throw rice or rose petals I think so we are going to be using bubbles

I saw these confetti poppers in a wedding magazine that I got, but I don't know if I want that stuff sticking in my hair.. so probably rose petals

I know I've heard of churchs not allowing rose petals to be thrown...but does anyone know why?? seems kind of strange....

They are afraid of people tripping on them. Whether it is people at your own wedding or someone else's because they did not get cleaned up properly. Also my church has mass after my ceremony so we can't throw anything on the ground...no runners either.

I think because nobody is there to clean it up? At least thats what they told my frined....she wanted us to throw rose petals also.
How long does it take to sweep a few rose petals up??

I was going to have them blow bubbles but i heard that sometimes when the bubbles pop on the dresses they leave stains. So i am not going to take my chances and not have them throw anything.

The answer I got is that due to insurance reasons. People have fallen when rose petals have been used in the past. That's why I have resorted to using bubbles instead.
