ATTN: Bourne Mansion Brides or anyone else who could help me...

I've heard from some people at work that, while the Bourne is beautiful, it is becoming 'run down' The ceilings aren't in good condition.....so on and so forth--I didnt actually look up when I was there last week---so I am nervous now.....has anyone been there recently at a wedding or gala and noticed this??

I was there at the end of July for a wedding. To be honest with you, the place is gorgeous.

These are the problems I found with it:

I did not notice what your wedding date is but if it is in the summer, beware that the air conditioning they have there is not powerful enough for that place. Everyone was complaining all night (even the grooms mom & family) that it was really hot in there and you could not feel the air. All the guys had their jackets to their suits off b/c it was that hot.

They had an awesome band and b/c the ceilings are so high, the music echos. Someone had already warned me about that before I went to the wedding there.

Other than that, it was a beautiful place.
