BM Dress Shopping **UPDATE: WE FOUND 'THE ONE' TODAY** W/ LINK TO PICS!!

Me and the girlies are going BM dress shopping tomorrow... We are going to the Bridal Suite in Bayshore and then Helen's in Commack (based on my LIW gals recommendations)... I will be sure to bring a camera and snap lots of pics to post... Besides that:

Is there anything else I should bring or any tips / experiences anyone can share with me?? Words of wisdom ladies??

****** UPDATE *******

We went to The Bridal Suite, Helen's in Commack and then (reluctantly) The Wedding Center. The Bridal Suite's staff was great, very friendly and helpful... but the selection was not huge. They had a few great dresses but nothing I loved.

Then we went to Helen's-- the staff there was fantastic, very friendly and upbeat... they had a huge selection but no Watters and Watters which was the designer that had some of my most favorite dresses (from looking online). So it was great and we found a few nice dresses but nothing I was in love with-- so I was a little discouraged...

Then, one of my BM's knows a woman who works at the Commack Wedding Center so she was able to get us in very last minute on a busy Saturday-- we went and my BM along w/ the lady at the place helped me a lot. I was nervous about going there at first b/c I've heard mixed reviews on the staff-- but in reality, I was lucky enough to have a pretty good experience-- everyone I dealt with was fine. They had a ton of Watters dresses so we tried on and I found it!!!!!!!!

WOOO-- HOOO!!!!!!

BTW: the cheapy-cheap price at the Wedding Center was $218 and retail was $256... so I called good old Burtons and my girl Carole (the best!!) quoted me at $200 without me even telling her what the WC price was! She is fantastic-- the alterations cap is cheaper at Burton's too!!! So we are definitely ordering the dresses from Burton's-- they are GREAT with dresses!! Best prices around and a wonderful seamstress-- also, the alterations cap is good ($40)

Good luck! I'd say to just keep an open mind. Give your girls a basic idea of what you like and then let them try on a bunch of stuff. Hopefully they'll all like the same thing.

oooo..good luck Danielle!! i went to bridal suite of bay shore to try on dresses for my BM's.....their selection is okay. not huge....but the sample are quite small too. my MOH is a plus sized girl...but the salesperson Schemika helped us out a lot! (she's fun!) so she became our model and tried on dresses for us!

i must admit that i found my BM dresses there, copied the style number...and called up Phyllis at Gownfind to get a better price!

YAY! Well, I have great BMs... they all ASKED what color I would will be having them wear-- and just assumed I would select everything...

So I told them the color and then said the type of dress I would like and they all said that no matter what it is-- they'll wear it very happily...

let's hope it stays that way! LOL I'll be posting tomorrow about how they were all biatches! No I'm just kidding I want to get a dress that flatters them and they are very eager to please me and do what I invision so it works really well--

danielle, I got my gown from bridal suite , they were great to work with , after shoppin & shoppin around & just getting tossed into dressing rooms like i was a no body bridal suite really took time out with me ,, good luck,,

they have a nice selection of bm dresses too,,

try on as many dresses as they will! Then get the style # and call the Wedding Center in Commack and they will beat ANY price! I love them there!

i hear ya, from me its a hike(i'm in queens) but from FH its about 10min. so i went to try on some there.

Have lots of fun, we did!!!! Bridal Suite of Centereach was helpful, as well as Lilletts in Baldwin.
