Dance Lessons - Recommendations needed

FH and I want to take lessons together. FH needs the help and I just think it would be something fun to do together! For those of you that have taken lessons, any recommendations? Thanks!

Re: Dance Lessons - Recommendations needed

For LI and Queens I'd recommend Arthur Murray. I don't have personal experiences from there but I have heard second hand that it is good. I know of one in Plainview on South Oyster Bay Road but there are a handful on LI, check them out WEBSITE.

As for NYC Jenn there are so many more options.

Dance Sport (Broadway & 60th) is awesome, they do ballroom, latin, salsa, tango, mambo, argentine, etc. types of dancing. WEBSITE

I'd also recommend Dance Chelsea (W. 25th between 6th & 7th), they offer a WIDE variety of classes such as Fox Trot, Tango, Salsa, Latin, Ballroom, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Swing, etc. WEBSITE

Re: Dance Lessons - Recommendations needed

Manhattan Recommendation:

I highly recommend Richard Jones!!http://www.biljonsdance.com/. We started with a package of six lessons about 3 months before the wedding. We are loving the lessons so much that we are continuing until the wedding. Richard always has a big smile and great ideas. He does not teach a routine but several moves that allow you to dance to any song. He is giving us an entrance and an exit for our first dance and lots of different moves. We are doing foxtrot and swing – which is fun! The classes are given in a studio on 54th and Broadway. There are other people in the studio during our lesson, but that allows us to feel comfortable with others on the dance floor.

Alfredo or Jules at Stepping Out in NYC. They're both really great guys and good teachers.
