A friend of mine's parents just took the cruise to Hawaii and they were not really fond of it. They travel all the time and they said the ship was just too crowded but it could have just been the time they went. I think the cruise to Tahiti would be nice.

Cruises are amazing.....however, I personally wouldn't go on one for the HM. My FH and I went on a cruise last year and there were a few HM's. Most of the couples wanted to be left alone to enjoy their HM, but on a cruise it's hard to do that. Just my opinion. It's not as romantic or intimate with 1000 other people around you.

I went to Hawaii for our HM, and I recommend staying on land. I love cruises and have been on quite a few. It is just that Hawaii is sooo beautiful, and I don't think you get to enjoy it as much as you can when you are on a cruise. There is so many nice restaurants and places to walk and drive too. Also, the resorts are fantastic!!!!
They do have a Princess cruise that goes to Hawaii and Tahiti. That might be a good idea. I was thinking of doing this, and then staying in a overwater bungalow for a few days before we flew home. Just an idea!!!

I've been on several cruises and they are nice....but can get pretty pricey seeing as how you have to use a card to pay for everything and then pay at the end of the trip. However, IMHO you just don't get to spend as much time on the actual island as you would if you went there.

We are going on the Paul Gauguin cruise to Tahiti. This ship is a lot different that your average cruise, it only holds about 300 passengers.

I didn't want to be unpacking every 3 days while on our honeymoon so FH convinced me to do the cruise. It's for seven days then we'll be staying in a bungalow in Moorea for a few nights after the cruise. This way we get the best of both worlds - we get to island hop in style and see and do everything and then have that bit of seclusion to end the trip.
