Went to Yankees Game 2 (both of them... arggh) and they put our names on the scoreboard!
LAST NIGHT's game COULD have been played through that first bout of rain - and we wouldn't have had to sit there like idiots and waste all that time and money - AND have to use a personal day for work today. And maybe they would have WON last night in the rain!! arrgghh. But - the good thing was that we still got our message up on the board today!I took a picture and I'm going to blow up, frame and give to FH as a gift at Rehearsal Dinner! We can put it in our Yankee memorabilia bar - when we build it - next year! I was going to buy it off a website, but I figured we can just get the 'real thing!'. I can't wait to see it!!!

Make sure you take the picture quickly. FH did that for me when I graduated college but we weren't fast enough to get a picture of it.

it was easier than I thought! You can order it through the yankees.com website! $10! My dad is actually buying the message for us! 'Congratulations Sarah and Joe CXXXXX!' Anyone who's going, look for it in the middle of the 5th! You just have to get the order in before the games' messages are sold out, so as soon as I knew I was going tonight, I put the order in!
I don't know if it will be the only message on the board, but if it isn't, I want to try to black out the other messages so ours is the only one when I print it out.

thats awesome! i did that for DH on his 21st bday...they announced his name and everything!!! and since he's a HUGE yanks fan it was one of the greatest moments ever!!! he always wanted to hear his name announced at yankee stadium and i guess this was the closest he'll ever get....
