OK ladies...TOMORROW*

Tomorrow is the big day...

My parents will be meeting FH's mother and step father!

AH!!!! I cant believe after all this time...it is finally here.

any pointers to keep awkward silence away...

and how to bite my tongue when SHE says something stupid.

God, please let my mom and dad get along with them, let the wine be strong, and allow all negative comments to be kept to an absolute minimum

Good luck!! That's so exciting! I'm sure everything will go well.

As for awkward silence I always try to make a joke to get everyone more comfortable...whenever it's weird and quiet and we're all just looking at each other I always say 'Soooo...how 'bout those Yankees?' it always seems to break the ice and get people laughing or maybe they are just laughing to amuse me

either way someone will have something to say about the team!

Everything will be fine. My parents met FH parents sometime around Christmas last year and I was afraid of the same thing. I ended up having nothing to worry about. Our dad's prattled on all night like two little girls. It was a bit harder for our moms, but there's nothing like embarrassing baby stories to break the ice. My parents were more than willing to share a whole bunch of them.
