Villa Del Palmar in Puerto Vallarta

My honeymoon is next month and of course, I get this letter that says our hotel has construction on the beach - Great right? Yeah, well, I called the timeshare and they only have availability those two weeks at Villa Del palmar in PV - my hotel right now is the Club Regina at Westin Regina.
My question is this .. has anyone stayed there or been there and can comment on this hotel. I'm torn I don't know wheter to switch or not. I called the Club Regina yesterday and asked how bad the construction was and they said that men are working on the side of the beach - no big deal. But when I go on Fodors, some people have commented that the beach is closed! Ughhhhh! Rob and I are torn and we have to make this decision today, because they won't hold this room for very long.
