I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

lol

How much pain is this gonna be? Is it embarassing?
I didn't want to be bothering with shaving on the honeymoon- so I made an appt.

Did I make a mistake? lol

Re: I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

LOL!!!! I've only had regular waxes done and that was enough to send me running in the other direction. But you probably made a good decision----it's worth 3 minutes of pain to not to have to worry about it on your honeymoon. Take Advil or something before you go.

Youll be fine! Dont let them scare you. Take a tylenol extra strength (maybe even 2) 30min. before you appt.

Good Luck

Thanks, as long as the pain doesn't continue for more than a day...

most Brazilian waxes are longer than 3 minutes. they're usually 15 or 20. IMO those 20 minutes of pain are worth not havng to shave for 3 weeks.
don't forget the advil. i usually Take 4 about an hour before.

Re: I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

I just went last saturday.. I took 3 advil before.. It REALLY wasn't as bad as everyone has it hyped up to be.. I was fine. Afterward it just felt like a very mild sunburn, nothing that aloe & bactine couldn't fix.. It was totally worth it & I am absolutely going back. The girl I went to was amazing which helped alot.. she made me feel so comfortable..

You will be fine!! It isn't that terrible!

ETA: the girl I went to gave me a small towel and moved it around. She worked around it which honestly helped ease the anxiety.. Just remember- they do this for a living! Estheticians have seen it all!

you should buy 'No Scream Cream' - you can get it over the internet for $15.00 & it somewhat numbs the pain.

Re: I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

I admire your courage! You're not supposed to do too close to your period, take 2 alleve before and then they also make this like numbing cream you can use before. Its like an ambesol that you would put on a toothache.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

i do it and it's no big deal....it'll hurt, but only for a second, like when you get your eyebrows done. it's a huge relief when you are on vaca not to have to deal with it.

take an ibuprofen or tylenol an hour before you go, and try not to go right before your period...your more sensitive then...good luck!!

Re: I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

It is not bad at all. I agree take some Tylenol before and your good to go. I advise buying Neosporin for applying on it after you get it done. It heals it quicker and prevents ingrown hairs. You will be fine. After your appointment you will probably go regularly.

Re: I just made an appt. for a Brazilian Wax! Help me to stop freaking outtttttttttttt

I have never done a Brazilian wax-only a bikini. The bikini didn't hurt at all-BUT I have a very high threshold for pain.
