Tara, a menu template is used to create a menu, so you can put a menu card at each place setting displaying to your guest what their choices are for dinner etc throughout the reception. Most of us do it b/c it is a nice addition.

Here is the info on how much ribbon you need. The menu was created by a bride on weddingchannel.com Here is the amount of ribbon that you need. and where to get it:

Anyway, Michele31 I bought ribbon from www.jkmribbon.com. Great prices and selection. My order for the menu ribbons was short the first time around. In the end, I bought 4 rolls of 25 yards of ribbon, more than enough to do 125 menus (I still have 1 roll left over and I made 110 menus). That site only gives you 25% of their offerings (they have more lengths, widths and colors). Request a complete list and they'll send you a huge file with every color and size you can imagine. I ended up getting the wired sheer organdy ribbon in iris (to match the periwinkle font color), width was 5/8', price was $9.40 per roll.
