Waxing in Suffolk County?

Does anyone know of any places in Suffolk County that specializes in Bikini Waxing besides your local hair salon? Thanks!

Re: Waxing in Suffolk County?

I don't know how specialized they are, but I've gotten waxed a few times at Apples Nails on Portion Rd in Farmingville. They do a pretty good job. If your looking for Brazillian, I don't think they do that.

Re: Waxing in Suffolk County?

Karen- did you end up finding a good place in Suffolk?

My plans have changed and I'm going to LI (from Buffalo) the week before the wedding, so I would like to have my waxing done on LI. That way it will last almost our entire honeymoon. The problem is that I have never had waxing done on LI, and would prefer to not have to travel so far. I'll be in Hauppauge.

Thank you.
Jen

Re: Waxing in Suffolk County?

I go to the emerald door too. Kathleen is the owner and she is really nice. I did a brazilian there for the first time a few weeks ago and she was great. It wasn't fun, but it didn't hurt nearly as much as the place I went to in the city (who did the whole thing in about 15 minutes and five strips).

Re: Waxing in Suffolk County?

ugh..I want to try the brazilian for the HM, but even the regular bikini hurts like hell.

True, there are some better waxers than others.

What other services does the emerald door do? Do they just do waxing or do they do nails, etc. as well?

BRAZILIAN WAX! Yikes!

Thanks Brooke and pmb-
I work in Huntington so decided to make an appt tomorrow afternoon at Emerald Door for a brazilian bikini wax...(I'm leaving for vermont on friday for a romantic weekend with my FH) I am kinda scared/embarrassed since this is the first time I am daring to do this! Not to get graphic, but do they also wax the inside of your butt as part of the 'brazilian wax'?? A girlfriend of mine went into the city to have it done and told me that the 'crack waxing' lol...was part of the 'Brazilian' Another thing...If I get this done tomorrow, (wednesday) will I be bruised/sore on Friday?? (SIGH) The things we do for guys!

Re: BRAZILIAN WAX! Yikes!

She'll do whatever you want her to do, and won't do what you dont' want. Be forwarned, you'll look pretty puffy and raw for awhile....2 days for me!
