Afternoon weddings ideas?

My wedding is going to be a sunday afternoon. We are having it at the Fox Hollow which is a sit down 4 course meal. I'm just nervous the dance floor will be empty! I'm trying to stick to a budget so I'm not sure if I can afford a band. Maybe one of those video screens so people can see themselves? I just keep remembering my sweet 16, the DJ was awful! I want to make sure everyone has a good time especially when I'm going through all this trouble!!

there are a bunch of djs on this forum that are recommended and seem reputable...maybe go in and check them out?

ive heard of ppl suggesting the do-it-yourself play list...where you use an ipod and set everything up (dont know if thats an option).

you can also ask a few friends who are social to be in charge of getting ppl up and inviting them onto the dance floor or like to start some dances etc.

you should read the thread on Sunday weddings on BHB! There hasn't been one instance of guests not living it up!!! I'm sure you'll be fine with a DJ - make sure you throw in songs like 'It's Tricky' - that will get the younger crowd dancing, then lead into something safe like Shout to get the older crowd out there and you should be good to go!
