Does anyone have information/suggestions about Wedding World in Smithtown, or The Wedding Center in Commack?

I highly recommend doing a search on here before moving forward with anything. Not the best reviews.

Ive heard horrible things about the 1 in Commack. They're very weird and rude in there. . . . They don't have the best stuff and the place smells funny. They don't give you real flowers and they give you fake silk flowers. Their BM dresses are a rip off of Davids Bridal designs. I would just never book w/ them, no matter how cheap they are. I jut did all the vendors separately.

The guy at the wedding center insisted on planning my wedding, and I looked at him and I was like 'i'll plan my wedding!' and walked out. . . I just didn't like them at all! I've heard not good reviews about them . . . .

I went to the commack one. i thought they had a lot of things but felt the people were a bit pushy and insincere. it turned me off. it was a bit used carsalesmanlike.

my mom went everywhere looking for a dress and i mean everywhere. she was going to spend way too much money to have her dress made but ofund the perfect one at the wedding center. The woman who helped her was very nice and very helpful. I don't know anything about the alteration but she got a fantastic price on her dress. and mom is not a size 8 but they had dresses in all sizes so she could actually see what they looked like on. we were very satisfied. The place it very cluttered when you go in but we found it well worth the trip.

steer clear away. I always say you get what you pay for and a total package their vendors are not always top of the line.

I just want to make it clear that Wedding World and the Wedding Center are TWO DIFFERENT establishments!!!!!!!! They are in NO WAY affiliated with each other. However, they're both located in Commack which is why people often get confused.

Wedding World on Austin Boulevard in Commack is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff is friendly, the seamstress for alterations is a genius.

I was a Wedding Center bride and am proud of it!!!!!!!! I was very happy with my vendors!!! FM me if you'd like to know anything!

The bad thing about them is their alterations. That's the thing to steer clear from at the Wedding Center. Many girls complain about these places, but have never even been there themselves.

i had gone to the wedding center in commack w/my bm and they were not helpful in anyway....one lady was willing to help the other 5 or 6 ladies were sitting on the counter just gossiping....one younger girl was shooting dirty looks, needless to say im not ordering my bm dresses from there. but thats my only experience there.

I've heard horrible things on this site about Wedding Center, but Wedding World is highly favored and many of their vendors are paying advertisers on this board, and Helen's a great, affordable bridal shop.

wedding WORLD all the way. we went to wedding center and were only there 3 minutes!!! they were sooooooooooo rude!!!! Wedding world is wonderful! they go out of their way to help you! the prices are great and the people are amazing. I know people who have used them in the past and the pics and video came out great!!!

My sister did Wedding World in Smithtown. It was not great but not horrible. It was convenient and a great deal BUT

The photographer that was included in the package only did film work and there was a maximum number of shots he took.

The florist they used sent us almost dead flowers and they were an hour late. Also, they say you can have any flower you want but they wouldn't give her peonies or hydrangeas and she had a june wedding so they were available even though they lied and said they weren't in season.

The invitation selection was not great.

If you're on a budget, I say use them because they definitely had their advantages but you're not gonna get the same service and options as if you were to go to individual vendors.
