Anyone wearing or wore a ball gown for their wedding?
What kind of crinoline (slip) are you using? I am not sure I want the ball gown slip to go under my dress just trying to see what others are doing.TIA

Re: Anyone wearing or wore a ball gown for their wedding?
I had a ball gown.I bought an elastic waistband one from a shop on ebay. Somehow, Macy's lost it b/w my final fitting and pick up and gave me one of theirs which was drawstring. I didn't like it as much and for some reason, the drawstring was broken, so, day of, I was running late and we couldn't fix it, so I ended up chucking it and went without. Try on your dress first to see if you want it. You may not need it, if you do want one, try ebay I got it for 30 bucks. Macys' wanted over 100 for theirs.

I have ones for sale! I have a drawstring on and an elastic waste on size 14 which I hated because you wore it right below your breasts. How uncomfortable. the drawstring one sat at my hips and was much better. I wore a ball gown and my dress really needed it. It was so so very flat with out it!

It really depends on how big you want it to be. I wore a ball gown and wanted it BIG. That, to me, was the point of a ball gown. I kept telling them at the salon that I wanted a bigger slip.
I totally agree!

My dress was a ball gown and while it didn't really NEED the slip, the slip helped the dress lay better and allow for more movement of my legs. I had a simple 'a-line' slip really.
