Bank Account ? for the newlyweds which will obviously know

My fiance & I have a joint account, his name & my name.
At the wedding we will obviously get checks that say my new name or to Mr & Mrs. XXXXX (my new married name).
Can I deposit these, even though I didn't change my name yet officially with the bank?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am clueless.

Not a dumb question at all!

Yes, you can deposit your checks. You'll both have to sign them, you should sign them as Jenn Yourlastname Hislastname. That's what we did, and I think most banks are the same.

ALso find out from the bank... we had a joint account and the bank just told us to come in and not to worry about signing them all....
But it did not matter as long as one of the last name matched.

I did the same as JennRenee, but we also got some checks written out to just me (with my maiden name) and then ones to both of us but with my maiden name, so I just signed those with my maiden name. I still haven't changed my name with the bank! I'm so pathetic!
