NWR: I feel like an OLD Auntie!!!!! (a little TMI)

so my oldest, and favorite niece, called me yesterday. she's almost 15 (bday in Feb.) and since she spent 5 years in belgium with my sister (military), she's kind of an innocent teenager. (she isn't really ga-ga over boys, and doesn't beg to wear make up or slutty clothes...lol)

so she calls me yesterday and this is the conversation:
Her: 'Hi Titi! Guess what happened today?'
Me: 'I don't know'
Her:'Guess! You have to guess!'
Me:'I dunno you found the cure for cancer? Just tell me'
Her [whispering low]:'I got my PERIOD today!'
Me:'Omg--congratulations you are, according to mother nature, officially a woman! Btw--why are you whispering?'
Her:'Cause i'm at the movies and about to go into the theatre, but i wanted to call and tell you'

i always tease her about being a late bloomer, and now she's no longer a kid. it's so bittersweet, cause i remember her with her little pigtails, and now she has to show in the feminine aisle!

i'm starting to feel like an old woman!

yeah, i'm her fav 'cool' aunt who teases her. like when she got her first training bra, i would always look down her shirt and say 'any developements in the rocky mountains yet?'
