Quebec City in April?
Has anyone been to Quebec in April? We're considering going there for our honeymoon, but I'm afraid it might be too cold to enjoy ourselves. I'm not a big fan of the cold, but it looks beautiful and it's in our budget.

I went a few years ago. it was really cold and nasty. But it all depends. This year it might be warm with this warm winter were having you can't tell.

quebec city is amazing any time of year. i stayed at chataeu frontenac (sp?) and it was beautiful. i loved wandering around the city in the snow (i went in february and also went skiing nearby). it will probably be very cold in april! if you have a good imagination you can pretend you are in france!

in high school, we went during may for a trip... and it was cold there still. a little bit of snow still on the ground, etc. but it wasn't too bad to be outside walking around and stuff. you'll LOVE it... such a pretty city with lots of great history and charm

Re: Quebec City in April?
I've been to Quebec many times & I'm pretty sure April would still be quite chilly. I wouldn't let that deter you though, think about snuggling in front of fire places, drinking wine, etc. The food is great there & its a very walkable city. Le Chateau Frontenac is an amazing place to stay- but there are many other B&B's which would be nice too.

Re: Quebec City in April?
I agree with the previous posters: Quebec will be chilly in April (although, you never know, it'll be 60 degrees HERE this week in January!), maybe even snowy. But it's such a beautiful city, with tons to do, you'll have a good time anyway. Great restaurants and bars, beautiful views, a real 'European' feel... I love it there! You just have to decide what kind of honeymoon you want - a warm outdoorsy HM, or a more cultural (or indoor/cozy) one.Welcome New Vendors
