Re: Any 2002 weddings reviews for the George Washington Manor??

One of my BMs got married there last September. The Prime Rib was the best that I had ever had at a wedding. The bridal attendant was great, he even went to the store and got us cigaretts when we ran out (I have quit since then All in all the place was very nice. If you are getting married there, the chapel is beautiful, but walking down those steps is scary.

Re: Any 2002 weddings reviews for the George Washington Manor??

my friends Dad got married there in April. They loved it! My friend did tumble down the stairs in the chapel though! Food was good, the place is pretty(better in the summer when the trees are full), they are owned by the same company as Milleridge so they use the Milleridge florist & baker. I compared them & chose Milleridge Cottage because they upgraded the menu for the same price & it was my late Grandma's favorite restaurant!

Re: Any 2002 weddings reviews for the George Washington Manor??

I just went to a wedding there this weekend. I thought the food was good. There was so much. After cocktail hour I was not too hungry. Upstairs however, there was only 1 small bar and there were about 120 people. other than that I thought it was great. Any onther questions feel free to ask.

I got married there in May 2001

It was spectacular - people STILL talk about how great a wedding it was more than a year later. The food was excellent, service excellent. No complaints. I would only suggest that you keep the wedding small if you have it there...I definitely wouldn't go over 120 even though they say the big room holds 150. We had 98 and it was perfect! Feel free to email me if you have any questions [email protected] !

Re: Any 2002 weddings reviews for the George Washington Manor??

I just got married there in June 2002. I know this sounds corny but the day was magical. The place is beautiful. I still have people raving about the food to me, especially the chocolate mousse for dessert:) The pics were all taken there and came out so pretty. Everyone loved the cocktail hour half outside, you were even able to see a crane and ducks in the water. The service was great, the florist and baker outdid themselves(I used their's from the Milleredge). Any other q's or if u eant to see pics feel free to email me at [email protected]

Re: Any 2002 weddings reviews for the George Washington Manor??

Just wanted to chime in...
We were almost going to book GW Manor, but decided against it ONLY because we were going to have around 150 people and thought it would be a little cramped. Other than that, we were completely sold. I forgot the woman we met there, but she was soo helpful, and the prices were good. We also loved the chapel!!
I went to a baby shower there a few months ago and the food was delicious, and the service was excellent!! Good luck!
