Re: Unity Candle Question (only 23 days left)

We are going to have both of our parents light each candle together and then hand it to us, but I think it's kind of up to you how you do it.

I wanted to do this. I wanted my Mother and MIL to light our baptismal candles before I walked down the aisle at Church, but due to the narrowness of my Church's aisle, the Priest asked us to forgo this step.

So, DH and I lit our own tapers (baptismal candle) and then lit our unity candle. This was done after the exchange of vows/rings.

I've never heard of giving flower's to your mother since the MOB is wearing flower's already (corsage).

I have heard of giving flowers to the Mary statue in your Church, but we skipped this step.
