Chateau Briand Showcase Review Tonight!!!

So me and my Mom went to check out the showcase, gorgeous place, but it was so poorly organized. We had no idea there was a whole other room set up with alot more vendors.
I was so mad, They had appetizers being passed around and my poor mom bit into one and it had 2 very long hairs inside. She almost threw up. i felt soooo horrible for her.

So we went down to see the entertainment, The dj was ok, a little loud and annoying on the mic, we actually left the room we couldnt take it.

The band was awesome, Timepiece. They only had 1 female in the group, so her range was limited. But she sang very good, there was a guy in the group that was amazing, ball of energy!!!!!
He moved like crazy, sang his heart out and it was great!!!!!!

All in all it was an experience. Food was ok...especially since there were hairs in it

nothing compared to the East Wind Showcase I went to on Sunday their food was unbelievable.


Oh and the best part was i got to meet Colleen(Collweenie) and i saw Jess (MikeandJess) and Laura (Snowflake08) again. Alot of fun!

yes and they made me park in the holiday inn parking lot. I guess my 99 corolla isn't allowed to be valet parked at chateau briand?

The DJ was body rock...im not saying they were bad, i just cant stand how loud and obnoxious the MC's can be...i understand they are trying to get everyone going, but its not for me.

i had 3 rice balls, one stuffed mushrrom, a piece of brushetta and a piece of chicken!!

oh please, my 98 altima with 1 hubcap was an emarrassment - i hate valeting it and having them drive it up with other people waiting for their cars!!!

Oh Boy! I had an appointment with Body Rock today! I've already posted about this but it's so annoying! I live exit 59 on the LIE and drove all the way to Mineola for our appointment. I don't know the area at all so it took me even longer. I was 15 minutes late and they weren't there! The door was locked. So I called and the girl just said they were there and I should have rang the bell (which I didn't see). And asked if I wanted to reschedule and hung up the phone on me! I'm glad I didn't miss much but it was a waste of an afternoon!

Did you guys have the chocolate covered strawberries that the lady who was in the table was serving? HOw freaky was that?

I took one. I also did not like how they had no signs of a garbage anywhere in chateau briand. I was throwing the toothpicks into my bag and it's gross! I had no idea what to do with the tip of my chocolate covered strawberry although I felt like throwing it at the table lady because she was scaring me.

ginaz and i went...we didn't have a choice. we HAD to valet. i was like uhhh i dont think my car 'deserves' to get valet

does anyone know if the oheka showcase is like this one or better...cuz they charge $? i havent been to any others except fortunoff events so i didnt know what to expect.

OMG Jess i know no garbage cans anywhere.
I saw people were throwing the tops to the strawberries on the floor. I mean It really sucked how there was nothing around, no one had a clue what was going on, i asked so many people if there was another room, Many times...no one told me. Until i found it so much later...so annoying, it was like pitch dark too, you could barely see anything. and the bag they gave you was not even bit enough to fit all the paperwork it was so narrow.
Ugh i know im a complainer but it really stunk compared to east wind.

That carrot cake that Cakes by Jay had out was out of this world, im going to call for a price on his cakes cause i bet they are really good, or maybe do cupcakes

yeah...ginaz is getting married at the FH so we went! we didnt know what to do with ourselves. but she did get some good info.tips for the cake/ceremony flowers/vacation info etc.

i didnt know anyone was going! when we first walked in we were confused and we just stood around til we went to the 2nd floor and then somehow found the second room.
