Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
my favorite favor was a full bottle of red wine, with personalized label in a wine bag. the presentation was lovely & we love wine so that was nice. i also love anything that's edible- cookies, candy, etc.

Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
I'm at a loss for what to say b/c, well... I've never really been blown away by a favor at a wedding, shower, or any other party for that matter. I think the bride puts so much thought and time into it and the vast majority of the time, no matter what you pick, most people will not be wowed by it. I always leave weddings seeing tons of people not even taking their favor home with them, no matter how nice it is.Probably my favorite one was a box of gourmet chocolate covered pretzels that my cousin gave out at her wedding. All of the boxes were wrapped and tied with a bow in her colors. They were big pretzels and all different kids - white chocolate, with peanut butter chips, with m&ms, plain, etc. They were great.
My mom got a heart-shaped coffee scoop she still uses, but that would be lost on me. I was at that wedding, too... I couldn't even tell you where mine wound up.
I got a painted olive-oil bottle once - never used it (though it was really pretty). I gave it to my mom, who loves it.
I do have to say I love the 'love' coasters I've seen posted on here (I want to buy them for myself!)
I happen to love wine and think wine favors are nice... However, that's expensive if you want to get good wine. I think painted wine glasses with a small bottle of wine would be awesome favorts -- but $$$$.
I like the ice cream scoop idea mainly b/c I don't have an ice cream scoop right now! You could pair that with a couple bottles of colorful sprinkles (or sprinkles in her color).
It's my personal preference to NOT give out monogrammed favors... but to each his own.

Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
honestly, for me it's a donation favor. most other favors i don't use and all the edible ones, while nice, are gone in a minute. at least with the donation favor i feel like it's going somewhere (and i'm saying this from my perspective as a guest). if you don't want to do that, edible items are usually a fail safe.

Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
from a wedding shower - an ice cream scoopI've only been to three weddings one of which I was in, but I've recieved, a wine bottle topper (I use that often), a small bottle of champagne (I'm not personally a champagne drinker, but it was still nice) and a box of bath soaps (which I'd never use). For my own wedding I'm probably going to go with the 'love' coasters - who can't use a coaster?

Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
MINE are the best ever! Not really... but they fit my (low) budget! I am giving 'Measure of Love' heart shaped measuring spoons, a heart shaped cookie cutter and a scroll with my favorite 'love' sugar cookie recipe. The one that sticks out the most to me from here is the expresso cup set that one of the '07 brides (Nina) had mentioned a while back. It is beautiful! I think there are 8 or 12 cups.in a cute case.. I honestly don't remember much - but it made a HUGE impression!

Completely agree.
We're doing a donation favor + something edible. I'd much rather see a couple make a donation to a charitable organization than get me something I've got a 75% chance I'll never use...

Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
My favorite favors tend to be CDs....IF the CD is good.....and not completely personalized only to the bride and groom... We might end up doing that for budgetting reasons.....but who knows!!

Re: BEST FAVOR EVER?
i think the best favor i got was this awsome crystal modern decorative bowl. i KNOW they were like 30 bucks each and knowing a greek wedding( since im having one) they are not that snall and that is A LOT to soend on a favor. My koumbara asked me what I wanted and she gave me her budget thats he could spend based on the # of people expected.
Maybe talk tot he couple and u will be bake to get a better idea of what they like.
