Order BM Dresses from Bridal Elegance or Lillette's?

Order BM Dresses from Bridal Elegance or Lillette's?

I ordered my gown from Lillette's and found my BM dress there as well.

I did not go through Phyllis / Gownfind / Bridal Elegance for my gown because the price was so great at Lillette's and I heard some negative information about alterations, etc. there.

Phyllis can get the BM dresses for about $22 less than Lillette's and her alteration cap is only slightly lower.

Can anyone please share positive and negative experiences working with both of these places when it comes to alterations? I don't want my girls to have any hassle and have to make unnecessary trips back and forth because of problems with the alterations. The gas mileage alone going back and forth to Dix Hills wouldn't be worth it.

At lillette's they give your girls 10% off teh dress if you got yours there. Im not familiar with teh other store but i ordered my dress and will be ordering the BM dresses from there

I think if your BM's are fine with the price at Lillette's I would just get them from there. $22 isn't worth it to drive all the way out to dix hills in my opinion. I haven't had experience with alterations at either place but have heard both positive and negative things about both places. go with what you feel most comfortable with.

I was taking that discount into consideration with the price difference.

Lillette's may even be willingn to match b.e.'s price...did you try for that?

IMO, I'd go with the shop that is closer to you and the shop that you got your own dress at, purely for convenience.

No, but since I have SEVEN bridesmaids, maybe they will do that! I'll definitely ask!

If Dix Hills is a hike for your BM's maybe stick with Lillette's. $22 isn't going to break the bank, unless you're paying for their dresses, then it might be worth it.
