Need Help! FSIL Isn't Legal in NY - Need a Judge or Officiant Now

So we just called the marriage license office in our town & apparently the church she got ordained from isn't legal in NY (she lives out of state)..we want her to perform the whole ceremony but have someone step in and do the necessary part to make it legal..any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Maybe she can become ordained in NY is it to difficult for her?? Thats a great personal touch for the wedding

well we thought the church she got ordained at was legal...she did it just for our wedding...so we figured to make sure...we would just hire a NYS registered officiant to be sure instead of going thru the same thing again..but thanks!

Kath I've heard great things about Pastor April and Pastor Deb (both vendors here).

I am using Father Joe who is wonderful but is Catholic. I am not sure if you want to go the religious route.

we want a non-denominational person...i am protestant & FH was raised Catholic but he does NOT want a religious ceremony...haha...he said we can mention God but not Jesus...he is funny..i am just happy he'll do god!

We basically just want someone there to make it all legal since we'd really like FSIL to do the majority of it all..thanks for all the suggestions...i will look into them!!

We went to our town clerks office...they told us the clerk or several other town people can do it...of course none of them were in at the time so we need to go back to talk to them..thanks ladies!!
