HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PRO'S DJS?

WE BOOKED WITH THEM AND HAVE HEARD MIXED COMMENTS ABOUT THEM. PLUS WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE SALES REP MICKEY SHERWOOD. SO HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THEM?-PLEASE TELL ALL!! IF YOU HAVE WHICH DJ WAS IT? WE ASKED FOR A SPECIFIC DJ WHICH WE LIKED(BOB FINO) - PLEASE ANYTHING IS USEFUL. WE ARE SO CLOSE TO CANCELLING WITH THEM!!

MY NEXT QUESTION IS HAS ANYONE EVER CANCELED WITH A VENDOR? AND WHAT HAPPENED? WE ARE EXPECTING TO LOSE OUR DEPOSIT,BUT WERE YOU LIABLE FOR ANYTHING ELSE? OUR WEDDING IS OVER A YEAR AWAY, SO I THINK THIS GIVES THEM PLENTY OF TIME. THANK YOU !!

Re: HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PRO'S DJS?

I've only seen their ads, I haven't heard about them otherwise. Regarding the cancellation policy, do you have a contract signed with them? Usually on the contract it will break down the cancellation policy for you. Also, if on the contract it specifies which DJ you booked by name, and now they are falling through on their end of the deal by giving you someone else, you may be in the clear... I hope this helps.

Re: HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PRO'S DJS?

ACTUALLY WE NEVER EVEN SIGNED THE CONTRACT WHICH WAS MAILED TO US LAST OCTOBER AND NOBODY HAS EVEN CALLED US ABOUT THAT. IT SAYS ON THE CONTRACT ' DEPOSIT OF $125. IS NON-REFUNDABLE ( WE WERE STUPID AND GAVE $175.) AND CANCELLATION OF ANY SERVICE MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CHARGES' THAT IS WHAT SCARES ME WHAT ADDITIONAL CHARGES? THEY CAN DO THAT IF IT'S OVER A YEAR BEFORE? PLEASE HELP-THANKS!!

Re: HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PRO'S DJS?

How did you pay them, by check? Credit card? Maybe there's a way you can stop payment on the check and/or call the credit card company and cancel the deal that way. With no contract signed, you've got a chance. You may have to say goodbye to the $175 but it's better than the whole thing... Do you have any lawyer friends?

Re: HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PRO'S DJS?

WE PAYED BY CREDIT CARD BUT IT WAS LAST AUGUST OR SEPT. THEY CAN'T MAKE US PAY MORE IF WE DIDN'T SIGN THE CONTRACT, CAN THEY? I'M THINK I WILL POST ON THE VENDOR BOARD AND SEE WHAT THEY SAY. THANKS GIRLS!

Re: HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF THE PRO'S DJS?

I think you should call your credit card company...explain that a deposit was made on your card for this DJ company and they renegged on their deal with you. That you never signed a contract with them, and since they have not provided you a service (your wedding) that they can't charge you for a service that wasn't provided for yet... OK, so that was a little wordy... What I am trying to say is call your credit card company, it's worth a shot. You may not get your money back, or you may get it all back, and then wouldn't that be wonderful?!... Let us know how it turns out,
and if the vendors had anything interesting to say.
