Did your wedding gown

Touch the ground?

Heres my dilemma, first my wedding gown came in too short (it was a custom length) and then it came back in, too long

UGH!

So I thought the length was fine, but it did touch the ground, and when I walked, the seamstress said it look like the gown was getting caught under my shoes.

So she is going to hem it so it almost touches the floor but doesn't. So when I walk you can see the tips of my shoes but when I stand you can't see my shoes.

Is this right?? Am I making sense?

I'm sooo confused!!

Help!!

Re: Did your wedding gown

You won't want it to curl into the dress I saw a girl try a dress on that did that and it had to be custom ordered from the factory that way and she was PISSED that it was still curling in. Problem is when it curls and your in a rush you can catch it with your shoe and snag your dress and trip.

Are you allowed to try it in with a diff slip? maybe it will help a bit??? I mean how much are you looking at your shoe, if its a tip i wouldn't care so much but if its the entire shoe and ankle that is way too high.

Re: Did your wedding gown

I haven't actually gotten that far yet, but I think that sounds like the right length, it's what we're shooting for, anyway, although my gown hasn't arrived yet. If it's any longer you're going to trip on it, the hem isn't supposed to touch the floor. Besides, I don't mind anyone seeing the tips of my shoes--I have beautiful shoes.
