** St Lucia Honeymoon -- FYI contact Leslie at Travel Solutions ...
She quoted me the lowest price and seems fabulous to work with! We are booking soon!Original post: We just received a great quote from a LIW vendor ... I am a little torn - I'm not sure if we should book the regency or grande. We think the grande looked a bit small for us and we wanted to stay for 8 nights. Any ideas? reviews? advice?
Thanks for the help!!!
UPDATE::: WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SMALLER AIRPORT?????
UPDATE: I think we are going to go for the GRANDE as well. Thanks for all of the help gals!

Re: ****** ST LUCIA ... We're thinking of booking The Regency ...
I just got back from my 10 day Honeymoon in St. Lucia. We stayed at the Regency. The Regency was nice, it is the bigger resort. It is built on a Hillside. There are a TON of stairs. There were 100 steps from the beach/pool/restaurants to where our room was. The water at the Regency is very rough. So for 9 of our 10 days there was a 'Red flag.' So that means no swimming or water sports. The Grande is newer and is also very large. The water there is very calm, like a lake. We went there almost everyday to go to the beach and do water sports. We also seemed to have a better time hanging out at the pool. It's very large and the swim up bar is always packed. See Brutus, he'll hook you up. If we had to plan the whole trip again, we would have definitely stayed at the Grande. Remember, there are 3 Sandals resorts in St. Lucia. There is a bus that runs between them every hour. So you can go between the resorts and go to all restaurants. Hope this helps!! Enjoy!!

The Grande is beautiful. if you stay at the grande (or the others) you will need to commute to the others because they dont have too many restuarants. The grande had only 2 that we liked. We didnt commute to the other sandals we should have (but we didnt want to deal with the drive) because we seriously got sick of the food. But Bayside does changes up their menu.

I've always wanted to go to St Lucia and stay at Jade Mountain. It's relatively new, and each room has an infinity pool...there's no 4th wall so you get awesome views and I hear it's private enough where the lack of a 4th wall doesn't matter. The smallest room is 1400sq ft and the largest is over 2000 sq ft...all with 15ft high ceilings.

I would like to know as well as this is where FH and I plan to go for our honeymoon. Any info you have would be appreciated. I am leaning toward the Grande based on reviews I have read. You can always shuttle to the others.

Re: ** St Lucia Honeymoon -- FYI contact Leslie at Travel Solutions ...
My FH and I just booked from TravelMAS... they are a vendor here I think? They only really do Sandals resorts (it is a husband and wife team). The Bestman when on his honeymoon through them and got free upgrades and stuff, and so did his NYPD partner when he went on his honeymoon. We liked the grande but after talking to the travel agent we decided on the Regency. The room catagories are a little different where as in the Grande it was an old Hyatt or Hilton so every room is the same it is just the view that differs. And they said there is more nightlife at the regency. But you can use all the resorts so we will probably go to the Grande to do water sports and we were also told that Halycon had the best restaurant so we will probably spend an evening there too.
There are two airports...Castries (the small one) and Souflier sp? (the big one). Castries only lands those little turbo prop planes so we would have to transfer in Jamacia and take one of those little 50 passanger planes for 2 hrs but once you are one the island it is only like 20 minutes from the hotels. Or you can fly into the big airport on a Jet... they told that we stop in barbados but don't get off the plane and then take a hour drive though the rain forest to the hotel. I heard the roads were pretty bad but they are actually repaving them soon because there is some international cricket tornament going on.
Can you tell that I FULLY researched this place before we booked!

Re: ** St Lucia Honeymoon -- FYI contact Leslie at Travel Solutions ...
we are getting one of those suites on the bluff... I know it is far from the rest of the resort but I'll feel like it is a resort within a resort (that area has its own poolbar and restaurant). We are getting the butler service also... we booked when sandals was having a sale (40% off ) so we could afford it where we otherwise wouldn't have.... SO Excited I am mad it is like a year away.
