looking back on the week before my wedding (as I head into the anni home stretch) I can honestly say
it was the most amazingly awful week of my entire life. the levels of stress, anxiety, and loneliness were just ridiculous. It was better than a Lifetime made for tv movie..there was drama, backstabbing, and all other kinds of betrayal you can imagine.it has taken me a good while to get over the whole thing, and part of me is still hurt beyond any belief about some of the things surrounding this week.
But like the old cliche, time does help. time does heal. even if the memory is persistent.
I have the very bad habit of beating myself up, as you all well know...but I had to give my spirit a shout.
For a time I really believed I was broken...FUBAR'ed...and perhaps I wouldn't be able to right myself as I had done before. and that was by far the worst part.
It took a long time, but somehow I managed to pull myself up out of the chasm. Started smiling more, crying less...and even started to let my most intimate self out into the world to play again.
and just as the '06 board supported me through the wedding planning process, the NWR board provided the rope for me to pull myself to the surface.
for that, I cannot say how much I love you girls enough.
I guess before I got into 'celebration' mode, I had to get this out.
And may I never cease to amaze me.
