Re: Homeowners Insurance... (was this posted before?)

Kathi;

I would highly recommend Friedman & Friedman Agency in Westbury (516-683-0500) Mary Nelson is our agent (ext. 202 ?) and in the past I worked directly with Bob Friedman for business insurance.

I can't say that they give the best rates because I never did comparison shopping, although they may be. They seem competitive with the rates my co-worker was getting when she searched for her home.

I use them because their customer service is exceptional Several years ago my business was in a building that completely collapsed (lost EVERYTHING), and they had a check to me in 2 days. That kind of response really counted for a lot in my eyes. In addition to that, Mary picks up the phone in almost every instance where I've called, or in the rare case I leave a message, I get a return call within a few hours at most. I could go on about other service issues where they've excelled, but I think you get the point.

If it ever reaches a time that you really need insurance to cash in on your insurance, you want easy access, quick response, and service beyond your expectations, not hassles and problems. That's why I didn't hesitate to place my homeowners, auto and umbrella coverage with them, because experience has shown I can rely on them. By the way, they placed us with Travelers because it was the best coverage offering what we wanted and needed, at the best price.

OK - off my soap box
