Which hospitals in the bronx is best for an RN to work?
I'm moving in with my mom, from maryland to the bronx, until my fiance and I figure out where we are going to live, etc.
In the mean time, does anyone recommend any excellent hospitals in the bronx? I'm still a pretty new nurse, with about one year of experience. Or is it better to avoid the bronx and commute to manhattan, westchester or long island hospitals?

Try Montefiore Medical Center.
There are plenty of hospitals in the Bronx but that is a good one.

i reccommend montefiore, especially if you live in the bronx. i believe pay is pretty good too.

I work in a Westchester hospital and from what I hear, the city hospitals pay much more.

The city hospitals pay much more, but I have heard that the city taxes are so much higher.

don't forget....brooklyn, queens, bronx, staten island and manhattan are all city taxes. If you live in the Bronx you will still pay city taxes. My office-mate makes more money than I do just b/c he resides in Long Island ...grrrrrrr
