Old Westbury Garden Brides. . an '08er needs your help!

I just realized this morning when I got to work that I haven't reserved my spot at Old Westbury Gardens yet and I really need to because we need someplace to take pictures that gives us the options of indoor pics incase of bad weather (which I know Old Westbury Gardens does in March at least)

But when you book I heard that you have to request to reserve a specific garden. . .is this true? If it is, for brides who already reserved their spot, which one is the prettiest?

TIA!

You get to reserve 3 gardens & get to take pictures in all 3 of them.... I chose the South Lawn & Terrace (includes outside of mansion), Boxwood garden, & the Walled garden...

The website doesn't have very good pictures so I suggest taking your FH & walking through the gardens one day & you can reserve your spot on the same day in person...

Here is the reservation form....

I took pictures in the Mansion and in front of the Mansion. I didn't have time for anything else....
You can check out the pictures in my album under DUET proofs, there are a few of OWG.

Rose Garden, South Lawn and Terrace and Walled Garden....Just for your info: You can change your locations at any time up until the two days or so before your affair. It is best to go visit the gardens, go on a nice day and enjoy it, its so beautiful.

I have a sorta dumb question on this same topic. We're taking our engagment pics there this weekend and I'm love with OWG.

Do ppl get married there? It makes me want to change out venue!!!

The Rose Garden is very pretty but only if it is in bloom.. otherwise it looks very dark & barren. I'm not sure if it would be in bloom at the end of march.

Yes, people do get married there. You should go have a look at their ceremony location options.. I think there are 3

you dont have to. i booked in the winter and couldnt go look at locations. they only allow one bride at a time so just make sure you book your time. you can always specify which garden/spot later.

Hey there. That is not true that you have to reserve the garden when you book. I am an 08 bride as well and i booked OWG in April and i didnt pick which gardens i want. Diane didnt ask me for any of that type of info. She said it was ok if i didnt know which ones i want right now. Basically just a deposit and mine and FH signature was suffiecient. As time gets closer we will have to fill the rest in.
