New little black dress...almost

Ok so I have gained weight this year-something that hasn't really happened in my almost 27 years. I always weighed about 115-117 after puberty. On my fat days I went up to 120, but it was rare. I am 5'6 so I know I was underweight, but even eating all the crap I wanted to, I never put on the pounds. Till i turned 25 and then BAM! The Puerto Rican A$$ genes caught up with me and couldn't fit into my jeans! Viva JLO, deep fried everything and cellulite!

So I'm 130 now-try to workout when I can and I know some is muscle wight-shoulders are much broader than last year and i have arm strength now, go me! No more shaking arms when I hold up a paper to send a fax!

But its been tough with the wardrobe because NOTHING really fits me anymore. I shop in H & M alot and though I know their sizes run small, Hard to see yourself go from a size 4/6 to an 8/10, but if I buy smaller than that, fits but shrinkage is always a threat.

Anyway I am blathering. The point of this post was I needed to buy a new little black dress and searching through my closet for stuff to dump, I came across an old black eyelet lace dress. Tried it on for the hell of it because it never really looked that great anyway and figrued who cares if I can't zip into it....

IT FITS! Even more...IT LOOKS GREAT! WAY better now that I have some meat on me. I feel vindicated. getting older and meatier sometimes has purpose! No more stick arms and bobble head. I can deal with trunk junk.

Its my new little black dress! will recycled anyway lol. Cut off the little strings that held the ribbon belt on and presto! New dress and noo money spetn.

Congrats on saving money! LOVE when that happens! AND congrats on gaining weight! You look great! Your wedding dress is beautiful and you don't look picasso like! Cracks me up! You look fine! I also like your makeup in the picture of trial one and I like the veil you had on during your first fitting although I'm not sure about the hair piece. I would be interested in seeing it in once your hair was all done.

You are going to be a stunning bride with a new and 'free' kickass black dress!

Thanks guys. Yea Im nixing the veil from the fitting-think the scalloping clashes with the lace. But the one fom the first try on OYE! Toooo much poof. need to find something soon!

Least I have my dress!
