Fox Hollow Brides

Just a word of advise, not to scare any of you Fox Hollow Brides. My future SIL went to a wedding there this weekend and the couple received several gifts (boxes) which were in the reception hall. Someone who worked there offered to put the gifts in the Bridal suite. When the couple got home they opened their cards and realized they were missing all the gifts. They were stolen! The couple went to the police to file a report and the police said that this has happened there before. So, just a heads up. Keep an eye on your gifts, maybe have someone take them to a car. Once again I am not trying to scare anyone but I just would hate for this to happen again.

Re: Fox Hollow Brides

I am getting married there November and they have me sign a paper that lets you know that noone is watching the bridal suite and they cannot be responsibile for anything left there. They clearly let you know that your responsible for anything!

Re: Fox Hollow Brides

Don't they have a safe? I'm getting married at John ANthonys and I know the bridal suites have safes. You should ask about this before your wedding.

Re: Fox Hollow Brides

That is just heartbreaking to hear. I'm not getting married at the FH, but still will keep this in mind.

There is a safe in the bridal suite off of the large banquet room at Fox Hollow. I'm not sure of any other bridal suites there...

Definitely, definitely ask about a safe, and USE IT!!

Re: Fox Hollow Brides

Thanks for the heads up. I am getting married there this November, and it is horrible that things like this occur. I will be sure to use the safe, and maybe have family bring any larger gifts to the car!!...........

Re: Fox Hollow Brides

A word of advise, the gifts were mistakenly taken by another group who have called, however, it is always assumed stolen. If items are missing and presumed stolen the question should be by whom. Remember every facility will have entertainers, photographers, videographers, florists etc.. that are not emplyed by that facility in the building that day. Furthermore, there is always a a friend or family member that comes with a guest you don't really know. The possabilities are endless. If you want to be secure inquire about safes, keep your suite locked to limit access, matre'd and bridal attendents have keys. Also if you are expecting gifts have someone other than the bride and groom responsible for loading them into a car. Remember at the end of your function as your guests wish you well and the drinks have set in it is easy to leave something behind, it happens all the time. The phone call comes in my stuff was stolen, no we have it you left it outside. Also someone should be designated to watch the envelopes, we always use Grandma. The caterer is concerned with food and service we cannot be responsable for personal items left out in the open. Very rarely are the employees of the establishment the culprits. We know who should be in what place at what time or who has access to your suite. To be safe and secure designate trustworthy people to handle gifts and envelopes and keep your suite locked! If any of my brides have any questions they can contact me personally at 516-918-2702.

Sincerly
Jerry Scotto
