Got a ridiculous quote...

From Maximus salon to come to me the morning of - $200 for hair and $200 for makeup - for the bride - for everyone else around $65 depending on what they would be doing. PLUS. Maximus gets a 35% FEE for ALLOWING the girls to come out. Someone please tell me - I am NOT cheap - but does this sound crazy?? Plus, the hair trial is STSRTING at $85. Hello?! Ladies?!

My quote was about the same. They told me they charge 50% over the hairdresser fee and they can't quote a specific price because it depends on the hairdresser?

No your not cheap...just planning a wedding.

To me, that is a RIDICILOUS Quote and I would not pay for it! What about going to a local hairdresser. Not one that is a 'huge' as Maximus and trying a makeup counter at a department store? It's worth a try.

I hate maximus for that reason, i love the girl that does my hair just wish she didnt work there!! LOL.. do you go to someone specific there? maybe you can talk to her and see if she will come to your house independantly.....

Jeez, what do they put in your hair, diamonds?
I think that is a little much to pay.. IMO
Plenty of other places that do great work for 1/4 of the price

my friend was getting married on a Sunday and they told her it would cost her an additional $250, just to open the shop. I think they wanted to charge her $150 or so just for hair. She went some place else. I think personally Maximus is unreasonably priced

My friend was in a wedding at got her hair and makeup done and it cost her a fortune and they only would style it the way that they wanted it...

OUCH!!! Geez Louise!!!

I don't know, can someone please tell me WHY do most businesses think it's okay for them to rape brides???? I just don't get it? Why on any other day it costs anywhere from $25 - $50 for an updo or to get your hair styled, but just because you say the word 'wedding' they jack up the price by like 200%?! They same thing for limos and photography locations, I couldn't understand why some of these 'Gardens & Museums' charge some outregeous fee to take pictures on their grounds when you can walk in there on any other given day & take pictures and all you have to pay for is parking, but just because you walk into certain places wearing a wedding gown they want anywhere from $150 to $400 just to take pictures on their property!!!!

It's bad enough we pay out the wazoo for a dress we only wear once!!!! Ugh...sorry....it just makes me mad that the happiest day of our lives and so many people take advantage of us because of it!

That is their price and people do pay it but I would have to look like a Sport Illustrated swimsuit model when I left to pay someone over $400.

I never tell anyone NOT to pay a certain price for something but yes, that is on the high end. I am paying $125 for makeup and $75 for hair at MY house the morning of the wedding.

I am using JN (Jacqueline Nicole) for makeup and her hair guy, Ciro. Ciro actually cuts and highlights my hair for me too now. His trial is $35 in his salon on Rt 347 near ShopRite. JN does a free bridal trial.

I am using JN for makeup, hadnt really given too much thought to using her hair. Now I will set up a trial as soon as I have my headpiece

I have been to Maximus twice this year for hair and make up and they charges areound $150 for both, thats ridiculous how they want to overcharge us! Not to mention they are so snotty when trying to make an appointment. F THEM
