Who else is doing Weight Watchers? I started again today...
Who else does WW? What has your progress been like?I only did WW for a little less than 1 mth and 1/2 last Sep-Oct and lost just 6 lbs but I stopped bc I hit my goal weight. I didnt have much to lose I know but it was stubborn weight and I couldnt shake it (namely bc I cant work out bc of health reasons. I know 10 lbs is probably nothing to lose or be so freaked out by for most ppl, but the health issues make it more complicated/frustrating). I felt SO good, and comfortable in all my clothes that I hadn't been able to wear in a while! ....Well I got on the pill since then and that on top of not being able to work out, I gained those 6 lbs back, plus 2! Agh. 8 lbs up, I've just felt really uncomfortable, esp having to get in a bathing suit this past weekend! Again, bc of my health, extra weight really isn't good for me. And the worst part is I feel like its just tummy weight. Not feelin too hot these days, and Ive felt so depressed and worried about it bc of the wedding coming up. Its def impacting me, and FH too. I know he's tired of hearing me talk so negatively about myself and the last thing you feel like doing, Ill speak for myself, when i feel gross is be all romantic and cuddley. Anyone else going through that??
So as of today, Im back on WW and hope to lose 10 lbs and Id feel really good about my weight for the wedding. I tried on my dress for inspection before I gained this weight and it was snug then! I have my 1st fitting on the 27th!
We'll see how that goes!I'm just doing the flex points plan (altho I don't use the extra pts) and I can only have 20 pts a day. Not doing meetings either.

I started again today
I go in spurts - some times I'm really committed and do really good, then I back off a bit - sweet tooth takes over
and then I have to get back on track.Today was my official start again day - need to get serious now for the wedding!

Re: Who else is doing Weight Watchers? I started again today...
i restarted a week ago and i want to lose 10-20 lbs by my 8/4/07 wedding,my daily points are 20 as well. I have been exercising and staying within my points, as of today i am 2 lbs. I am determined to try to lose before the big day. Don't get discouraged, each day is a new day, that is what i keep telling myself, i watch what i eat and have been writing down every thing i put in mouth. I hopeful and believe it will work.Even if we don't lose the amount we want to...we will still be beautiful

i DEFINITELY know what youre talking about with chocolate/sweet cravings. I know this sounds so stupid, but when I get chocolate cravings its all I can think about until I have some. On the pill, I get this huge urge to pig out every time i hit my second week.
Do you log everything you eat on the WW site? That helps me stay really strict about it!! And ANY activity you can get on top of it will def help. Its so frustrating that I can't be more active when I know it would really help me.

Re: Who else is doing Weight Watchers? I started again today...
what do you guys typically eat for meals each day. i typically do something like, breakfast- egg whites and a banana or kashi autumn wheat cereal w/ fat free milk for breakfast, lunch- turkey w/ a little mustard on WW wheat bread or swanson canned chicken breast w/ a little light mayo mixed in on WW wheat bread (only a 3 point lunch) and dinner- usually a lean cuisine (tho they gross me out really easily. and a WW or skinny cow dessert. for snacks, apple or watermelon or yogurt.

Awesome! Keep it up! That must feel really great! I, like you, have no interest in the meetings though they say you lose more weight.

Thx for teh encouragement. You really are right. And as much as I try to remind myself of all of this and also (from the movie monster in law) you should get the dress to fit your body, not the other way around.
I love that. I still, like most of us, put SO much pressure on myself to be something else that Im not right now. Like I have to be my best and prettiest and thinnest on my wedding day. Lotsa darn pressure! I know we will all look beautiful as brides regardless of if we make our ultimate weight goals.

Yes, that would be the healthiest way to do it, I believe. Bc eating that amount will likely keep your metabolism going, while not eating enough/all your points, your body will go into 'starvation mode' (thats whats happening when you start to get hunger pains and its already too late) and start holding on to the fat easier. According to this, it would be harder to lose weight if you eat very little.

Re: Who else is doing Weight Watchers? I started again today...
I am doing their online program. I joined about 3 months ago and am down 19 pounds. WW is amazing. I think the biggest helping factor for me has been the mindset that WW is a lifestyle, not a diet. What helps me also is 2 BMs I work with are on it. One is a lifetime member. So we are always encouraging one another and have a combined goal to lose 100 pounds by the wedding. We are at 74 now.For breakfast, I have a WW bagel with whipped cream cheese. Lunch is a SmartOnes (which are actually really good. typically i hate the frozen meals). Once a week I order lunch out for my staff so then I'll get either a salad with grilled cicken or chicken salad on a scooped out bagel (i loooove bagels). Dinner is whatever FH wants and I just eat a small portion and cut some stuff out if it's not healthy. Snacks consist of fruit, jell-o 100 calorie pudding, or fiber one bars.

You sound like youre doing awesome!!! Def keep it up.Thx for meal ideas. i LOVE grilled chicken salad w/ portabella mushrooms!
It was so funny I started today and my grandmother didnt know (she lives like 2 mins away) and she calls and is like, im bringing over your favorite...deviled eggs!
Oh lordy, any other day but today. I wanted to start off right. I only ate two and that was 4 pts right there. I only have 5 more pts for the rest of the day, which means 4 pt lean cuisine dinner and a 1 point dessert or snack after (watermelon or strawberries w/ lite cool whip,).

When you're limited on points, try eating really slowly. It helps fill you up. Are you doing the online program? They actually give you a weekly meal plan that you can follow, which can be really useful if you're not good with thinking up meals.

That is so me! I run 3x per week, yesterday I walked 10 miles - but then i went home and had a party with a plate of chocolate chip cookies!
Today i have all of meals planned out and there are no chocolate chip cookies in the plan!
