June/July brides!

Have/did anyone that RSVP'd a 'no' send a card or gift before the wedding? I had 163 invited & 65 'no's'. I got one gift and I'm not sure if that was a shower or wedding gift. It came real early from a friend who thought she couldn't make it. What's the norm?

yes i had quite a few people that could not attend the wedding that put a check in the rsvp envelope. we deposited the checks and will send them a thank you when we get our thank yous from our photographer..

Ive gotten a few no's, only 4 came with checks. If I cant go to a wedding, I ALWAYS send a gift. They might send something closer to the wedding- I didnt go to my cousins wedding in CA, so I replied no, but then send a card the week before the wedding.

eta: I send thank you cards to those people because I deposited the checks right away, and plan to also send the photo thank yous afte rthe wedding

I think etiquette wise they are supposed to send a gift but I would never expect anyone to if they declined the invite.

I have received 3 gifts out of 12 no's.

Thanks ladies. I hate to say it, but people in FL are cheap (where I live). They're most of my no's! Some are long lost relatives of FH

Got a great deal of nos, three checks out of 75 and two gifts from people who will be attending. Was not expecting anything from no's though, so the checks were a nice surprise.

I received about 10 'nos' and only 1 gift card, which was thoughtful of them. I'm not really expecting a gift from the 'nos' but if they send one, of course that is always welcomed!
