Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
I'm trying to decide if I should spend the $$ and have a cape made or if I should invest in a really nice coat (say in Red to go with my wedding colors) so I'd at least have use of the coat after the wedding. David's sells capes but the run around 125.00 and I can't see myself wearing it ever again. What is everyone else doing???

Re: Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
At this point, just praying!!!!!! I really don't want to spend the money either. I figure everywhere we go will be heated, and we're not taking pics outside...

Re: Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
I think I'm just going to wear a full length coat. I can't see myself wearing a cape, too superhero-ish for me. Plus, as you said I don't think I would ever wear it again. I think a red coat would look really pretty especially if it matches wel with your wedding colors.

Re: Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
I have my mom making me a fake fur wrap. I just think it looks pretty for winter...it also reminds me of a winter coat I had when I was little LOL!

Re: Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
I am a 11/2 bride, so it is usually not as cold as in Dec/Jan but I had a satin wrap made for my off the shoulder gown. It was $125, but I really love it and if there is a chill it will help a bit.I think capes look really beautiful in the winter. A nice full cape really adds a lot to the photos and the whole 'winter' feel of the wedding.

Re: Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
vivian,I'm getting married 12/21 ... I was thinking about this also. We'd like to be able to take some pic's outside if it's not raining or anything! I did go to David's & see the 'cape' & muff that they carry. It definitely reminded me of a superhero's. Not my speed. I was thinking about having a faux fur wrap made. Luckily, my great aunt sent up a silver fox stole. It goes perfectly w/ my dress! Otherwise I probably would have had a cheap one made.
good luck!

Re: Winter Brides ... are you wearing a cape?
Do a search on ebay for 'white fur stole' or 'white pashmina' and you'll get a ton of listings.I got a waist length fox fur jacket last year for $65.
Looks really cute over my dress.
