RP - Walt Disney World Honeymoon?

Hey Ladies!

My good friend is going to Walt Disney World on her honeymoon! Please post restaurants and places they should go and see! I know we have many WDW brides here!

I recommended Victoria and Alberts and then for a casual meal, Spoodles - which I love!

I am also trying to think of things to do within Disney world, perhaps at the different resorts - other than the parks (which she knows about)

I have been to Disney 2x, and I know you said besides the parks, but I wanted to say if they have never gone on Mission Space in Epcot....to go on it! It was the coolest ride ever!

We are also going to Disney for one week of our honeymoon. You can tell her to call and reserve a carriage ride. When I called to make some dinner reservations, the operator was telling me about the carriage rides, they have them at several locations, and you can ask them to book one around the time fireworks are going off.

Also, they might wanna go to Pleasure Island if they like to drink

For food I would suggest the Coral Reef in Epcot and California Grill at the Contemporary during Magic Kingdoms fireworks.

For other things to do: Universal studios is 20 minutes away, also you can swim w/ the dolphins(very expensive) play golf, water parks, and downtown disney (tons of shops)

In downtown Disney the Rainforest cafe is awesome. I would suggest they do the luau at the Polynesian but I know you need to make way in advance reservations (not sure when they are going) . For romance I know that you can now stay a night at Cindrella's Castle... if they are into Disney this might be romantic for them. Any firework show is awesome. Fantasmic in MGM is a great water, firework and character show .
HMMMMMM I would suggest some pampering in the Grand Floridian spa too. Paris restaurant for dinner in Epcot would be great for romance. HTH

OOO yea Fulton's Crab House is great for dinner and the Wyndam resort has a spa too might be more reasonably priced.

You can stay a night in the castle? I thought that was only for guests who won a night as part of the Year of a million dreams Prizes.....Wow! I wonder how much it is to stay there

You can't actually purchase a stay at the castle. It is part of the "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion. You have to win the stay. It is awarded to one person every day at a random place and time in one of the parks. The castle suite was originally made for the Walt Disney Family and from what they say will it will never be available for paid stays.

I haven't heard of that, I thought they only did that if you were married there.....do you know how to find out about reserving one, and all the info on it?

My (now) husband and I went to Disney for a short vacation last year, and had a wonderful meal at the California Grill. It's also a great place to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks, or the sunset, depending on the time. We saw an incredible sunset, I had asked for a window table. I have dietary restrictions, and the chef made me a completely special dinner, which I didn't even ask for, I just called ahead to find out what I could eat there. They were great. It was an expensive meal, but worth it.
