I just thought of a few more things..........(LONG I'm a little bored)
That I meant to mention in my review. Just some helpful hints for those of you that are dealing with the little details. We did the Martha Stewart Wishbowl and we got about 90 notes(we had 158 guests). One of the guys that works for my Hubby wrote about 10 dirty ones because we had a little sign saying we'd be reading them on the plane! Only one had no name. We also had a bible that our officiant gave us & people signed that as well. I did have my teenage cousin as a guestbook attendant during cocktail hour.
I wondered if people would really write them & I'd thought those of you that are doing would like to know.
I was undecided until the very end about how our guests would get their favors-they were big & breakable.I posted a picture below. They are crystal ice buckets & tongs, inside there are jordan almonds wrapped in organza with a little pear & the ribbon said'Kelly & Rich The Perfect Pair' I was afraid to leave them out for people to take because it was one per couple & I didn't have that many extras.
We decided to have the wait staff hand them out after cake was served & it worked out perfectly. (I gave the hall a list with the number of favors per table)
We also did a rose petal farewell at the end of the day. We had our ceremony indoors at our location so we didn't have anything tossed at us then.
There was another wedding coming in after us & I really wanted to be out in time, plus my hubby wanted to make our getaway in his decorated truck with everyone watching. So the servers handed out little packages filled with silk rose petals with a sticker on the front that said
Rose Petal Farewell
Kelly and Rich
Meet us on the front porch at 5:00
Our Dj played the last dance a few minutes early & then coached everyone to come outside. It was great fun & made it easy for us to finish on time. We said goodbye to everyone at each table during cake.
We named & numbered the tables & everyone loved it, We used sites & cities of our honeymoon.
So many people complimented us on that.
We had a scavenger hunt for the dispoable cameras I'm picking them up on Tuesday so I'll let you know how they did)People seemed to be having fun with it.
That's all I can think of now, but all the little things do make a difference. I just got another note from a guest saying how different & well planned it was.
Little does she know about all the help I've gotten from you guys!

Re: I just thought of a few more things..........(LONG I'm a little bored)
Kelly...congrats on having all those little things get appreciated from guests, that makes all the difference and makes you glad that you busted your butt on it all, right? I love your favors, what a cool idea, I would have loved to have received that as a guest. We did a guestbook/memory book where everyone put how they knew us, predictions, etc. My husband said no one will do it Stace and I am so glad he was wrong! We were laughing so hard at the responses and nice things people wrote, the only people who didn't do it were his work people and that was OK. People also commented on my fall theme and that made me happy I took those extra steps as well!!

Re: I just thought of a few more things..........(LONG I'm a little bored)
Thank! Stacey I loved your Fall stuff!Jenn, I'll try & find the lists-my Friend typed up the intructions that are on the tent cards that come with the cameras, she used a really pretty card stock-then we added about 10 items (different for each table) hear are a few I remember-
Someone with a tear
someone wearing red
flower girl twirling
someone fixing brides dress
groom dancing with someone other than bride
the hungriest person
the ice sculpture
brides Dad watching the bride
I'm having a senior moment, there are soo many more. We'd tried to come up with a few that would encourage photo journalism & get people to use all the film. Certain tables were given ones that were a little wild based on the crowd. we kept it simple for the older folks.
