Most of the LI Vineyard wines are much more expensive than that for a full bottle. There *are* some less expensive bottles, but the majority are over $10, most $15-20 a bottle.

We are giving out full bottles, but we paid about $8-9 a bottle with the case discounts.

Try the wine and see if you like it. You might find a less expensive wine that tastes better or you might find a less expensive wine that tastes a lot worse. On average, that's not a bad price at all for a half bottle -- if the wine is good.

I just read that 'Two Buck Chuck' won a big competition in Calif. for wine against many higher priced prestegious wines. Being a wino, I must try it now, I was always scared b/c the price made me think it was some 'rot-gut'

Yup, it's true. I'm a total wino, was engaged in Napa Valley and getting married at the Vineyard Caterers on the Northfork. It's really not bad for everyday wine and v. good for a favor in my opinion.

I didn't say they didn't have ones that start that low. I just was pointing out that MOST of their wines are over $10. The same holds true for Pindar... and my favors (Pythagoras) are from Pindar.

I got full bottles of Turning Leaf Merlot and Chardonnay for 4.97 (750ml), so for half bottles it may be expensive, but then again I am not sure what that wine runs for a full bottle.
