UPDATE: When I got home she had e-mailed my home e-mail that she thought about it and liked the black the best, with the red as a very close second and asked what I thought. Due to all of your feedback, I told her she should DEFINITELY go with the black. THANK YOU ALL for helping!

So, my SIL is getting married at city hall and then my MIL is having a dinner for her afterward. There's no 'theme', no BM's, nothing like that. My SIL asked me to make her an invite. I made her 3 samples and e-mailed them to her. She said 'I like them all, I can't pick, just pick one and surprise me.' Well, I like them all, too, so I thought I'd ask the experts what you think

THANK YOU! I made them fairly quickly so they’re not perfect, they’ll be all straight and even when I make whichever one you all help me decide…

1. GOLD. Bronze metallic paper, ivory cardstock, gold ribbon, brown ink.

2. RED. Red cardstock, black cardstock, white metallic paper (not showing up great in the picture, but it's glittery), black ribbon, red ink. (MIL doen't like this one, because she said it's not a Chinese restaurant. I don't think it matters ,do you??)

3. BLACK. Black cardstock pocket, white metallic paper (not showing up great in the picture, but it's glittery), burgundy ribbon.

I voted for gold, but I'd use the burgundy ribbon with it instead of the gold ribbon.

I think gold one is most appropriate for the situation - not overly formal, but still lovely.

I love the second one, too, but I feel it almost makes you anticipate an Asian theme... but I could be nuts.

I like both the gold and the black, but I voted for the gold - it looks SOOOO original and beautiful! Although she doesn't have a theme, the wedding is in October which is fall, so the gold with the brown fits really well with the season.
