I would put the reception site and hold off on blocking the rooms. You have some time for that and I'd include all that info with the invite.

Re: STD question - girls getting married at a church-edited to add another ques
i actually didn't put anything, but rather a link to the website we have (the one right here on liweddings because it was really easy to use). Then through there they can look up the ceremony and reception locations. If I were to put a location I would do land's end sayville
As far as OOT guests go, if you are going to have that few I would just wait and put hotel information in with the invitations. I would still block rooms (maybe some local epople will even want to stay), but I wouldn't stress over that yet.

Re: STD question - girls getting married at a church-edited to add another ques
I don't think you really need to put a place - most of the ones I've received are just the date. You could put the town and state though, or 'Long Island,' for the OOTers.

Re: STD question - girls getting married at a church-edited to add another ques
Jenn I'm actually in the process of making mine and I didn't put any sort of location, I just put the date. If you have a lot of OOT guests I would at least put Long Island, NY or the Reception location (town, NY) so they can get a hotel or something close by. I have only like 8 OOT guests and they've already heard every detail from my mom so I didn't find it necessary to add where.

A STD is just to let people know that something is coming up so on my STD I just put my RH. But you can put both on if you want I just couldn't fit both.

I didn't make mine yet but I was thinking of just putting 'Long Island, NY'.As for the blocking hotel rooms... about half of our guests will be OOT so I will probably be including that info in the STD... but for 10 OOTers, I would hold off.

Re: STD question - girls getting married at a church-edited to add another ques
OK cool - no OOT info will be includedI'm still torn about parish location or reception location.
Our guests run the gamut of the island though - Remsenburg to Queens - so I feel like I should put some sort of location. It seems silly to put LI. You guys think I shouldn't put anything?

I'm thinking back to all of the STD's I've received (and trust me, I'm a big wedding slut so there have been many

) and I think most of them just put the location of the reception... because if you think about it, people always go to the RH they don't always go to the church. HTH

Re: STD question - girls getting married at a church-edited to add another ques
ITS DEFINATELY THE PARISH LOCATION!!!!That's where you're getting married, the rest is just the party. As far as hotels, do you guys know where your staying yet? Are you going to do a brunch or going straight for your HM....

Re: STD question - girls getting married at a church-edited to add another ques
I would say reception because most people only go to the reception. As for the hotel rooms I would put the info in the envelope with the STD's.Welcome New Vendors
