Bridal Registry

So what stores are you girls registering at? I have no idea where to start, or how many stores are too many? I was thinking since my fam is in NY and his is all in MD we need to have stores that are available in both states. So we were thinking of doing:

1) Bed Bath and Beyond
2) Macy*s
3) Crate and Barrel (or Pottery Barn)
4) Target

Am I forgetting anything I should have? I'm still deciding if I want to do Fortunoff's or not, since I'm not sure if they have that in MD

Re: Bridal Registry

I know this is an older post, but I'm seeing it for the first time!

We def want to register at Fortunoff because we had such a good experience with my engagement ring (the Manhattan location). FH's family is from upstate so we need to register at a store that they can get to (no Fortunoff up there).

We're thinking of going with Macy's. I had wanted Crate & Barrel but there isn't a location up where his family lives.

Re: Bridal Registry

Bed Bath & Beyond
Linen & Things
Williams Sonoma

A note for the girls registered at target! A lot of people that I know registered there said they got a TON of duplicates because the system doesn't properly register what has been purchased or not

Re: Bridal Registry

I have not started yet, but I was considering a least 2 from the following...

1- Macys
2- Pottery Barn
3-Bed, Bath & Beyond
4-Fortunoffs
5-Crate & Barrel

Good Luck!

How far in advance should you register?

Re: Bridal Registry

I had a problem with Target and my friend's baby registry there. I wanted to purchase something there for it and the computers were down (which always seemed like the case there). I proceeded to buy her gift anyway since they gave me a telephone number to call up and they would just mark it off her list. I made sure that when I came home that I called them right away because I loved the gift I bought her and I didnt want to return it. Anyways, I called customer service around 9pm and after a few rings I got a rep who was very nice and apologized for the confusion. He marked the item as purchased and that was that. (I even went online to make sure it was taken off because Im nuts like that). This is why im not registering there since you cant always rely on people to do what I did.

My friend lives in Maryland and I just asked her if they had fortunoff and she had no clue what it even was, so I'm guessing they don't have them in md. They totally have all 4 of those stores you listed.

Re: Bridal Registry

I registered at Pottery Barn, Williams and Sonoma, and Bed Bath and Beyond. I think that will be it... I think 3 is a good number and we really don't need much.
