Diamond in Men's Wedding Band?

I am posting under FW's screen name.......

Is it common for a man to have a diamond in his wedding band? I am interested in getting this one:

but I don't want to get harrassed by friends/family/co-workers over the style.

Something small like that seems pretty common...or small diamonds around the band. It's really just personal taste. If you think it looks good, get it. If your coworkers give you crap about it, remind them they don't have to wear it...and that they don't get to go home to your lovely wife. ;)

I got 6 or 7 diamonds going around my band. The one you are thinking of getting is really nice. Your the one who has to wear it, so make sure you really like it.

I could care less of what people think, it's personal preferance. And it is becoming more popular, especially since white gold and platinum are in.

Hi! I'm using the FW's screen name (oh why oh why do I know what FW stands for?). Damn you LIWeddings.com! Anyway...I got a wedding band that is brushed white gold with 1 square diamond (I thought it looked more 'manly!'). Apparently she then decided it would be a good idea that she get another diamond in her wedding band too! grrr!

I think as long as the diamond is recessed in the band it looks manly. Of course people at work are gonna give it to you, they are gonna do it just because you got married anyway so whats the difference?

Yeah I like it, but my only concern for myself was how I was going to look at the ring in 20 years. That is why I went plain, but I like that the diamond is set in the ring. If I knew how to post my ring pic I would but new at the liw thing.

my husband's ring looks just like that; at first i didnt like it but he did so how can i argue, he's the one wearing it! mine doesnt match his but now that we're married i love his ring!!!

the bottom line is if you like it wear it. who cares what anyone else thinks

Yes, my husband go three princess cut diamonds placed on an angle through the front of the ring, it is a man style looking ring. Very popular today

I love diamonds in men's rings. My FH is going to have diamonds in his. I think it is a matter of personal taste. Also, think about where you work too. If you have a white collar kind of job, then I think diamonds are more acceptable. If you work in construction or drive a truck or something like that, you are more likely to get razzed and more likely to damage the ring as well.
