Help with colors!! sorry its soo long
I got a call last week from my pastor saying that we won't be able to have the wedding at our church because one of the little kids had dropped a candle and didn't tell anybody, so alot of the church is burnt.Luckily my pastor found us another church close by that he does sermons at every once in a while, and as much as we would have loved to use our church, it just can't be done.
But now this church is basically all red inside, its gorgeous yes, but doesn't exactly go with the tiffany blue theme I was going for, so I now need to start from scratch .. please help anybody

Re: Help with colors!! sorry its soo long
i am sure the new place will be just as beautiful!!im having my ceremony at the RH and i originally wanted to do a lot of red flowers bc i think red is romantic and its goes with christmas/winter......BUT i dont necessarily want red to be my theme either.......so maybe everyone can help us both out lol........
for BM dresses I was thinking maybe brown, taupe, or champagne or a combination.....i like dresses with sashes that have two colors.......and i was thinking maybe taupe or goldish invitations -because that kind of matches christmas/winter......but i'm still not sure how to tie in red and if that matches??
maybe the girls can help us!

maybe i am a terrible brideBUT
i think you should stick with your original color. . . i mean, how many pictures are there really in the church? most of them will be of the two of you. . . and maybe i am just lazy but i wouldnt feel like coordinating dresses to the actual room
most of the pictures will be at other locations - i personally wouldnt worry about it
btw - BEAUTIFUL church, very different!

Re: Help with colors!! sorry its soo long
I've been watching 'Whose Wedding is it Anyway?' and, there was JUST a wedding with a Tiffany blue theme, and, they used red accents. I thought it would look horrible, and, really, it looked amazing. The red really made the blue pop, and vice versa..... so, maybe see if you can stick with it and work with both!

You know I just looked at the church and I think it will be fine. I wouldn't change the colors. The church is beautiful.

I completely 100% agree here. Stick with your theme and don't worry. Most of the bridal party pics at the church will be outside and the snaps of them coming down the aisle. The majority of your church pics are of the two of you

I just saw it too. It looks beautiful. That's why I wouldn't change it either. Trust me no ones going to say the dresses don't match the church. If anything it will make your dresses pop out. If you make programs maybe incorporate red in that

i like these colors for bridesmaid dresses and i want to carry red roses but i don't know if it would look stupid if my bridesmaids wore something like that or similair and then there is red galore in the ceremony room and my bok.......![]()
My only suggestion with things like this are make sure the color (beucase I love champagne colored dresses with the dark sash) is to make sure the color is not too light. I want something that won't wash out next to the white in pics

Thats very true, but wouldn't it look a little weird with bright blue and red walls? ,, I just don't want it to look like a circus with so many bright colors that don't match .. the only good this is that I didn't order my bridesmaids dresses yet because we just decided to bring in girls ... I feel like I suck as a bride everything is becoming last minute with me lol
and thank you! the church is so gorgeous and I'm so thankful to at least have a place to say our vows, that I shouldn't even be stressing about colors lol

BTW I think you could totally get away with a gold/brown/red thing going on. I think it would be gorgeous
I'm doing more of a fall thing, but any accents are gold (rather than silver) to keep the warm fall tones
Dresses I will do some sort of brown, dark taupe, burnt orange, maybe even a green
