serious...NWR UPDATE To the UPDATE****

Hey guys,

My best friend ( who is really my twin) just called me a couple of hours ago. Her father needs a double lung transplant very badly. He was put on the donor list in late July and has gotten progressively worse. They moved him up high on the list and they got a call tonight that he must go to the hospital. I know she's nervous and so am I.
He will be getting a lung at 3:30 a.m. tomorrow, so whatever you do or whatever you believe please have him in your thoughts we could use as many good vibes as possible

I'm thankful that there are people in the world that will donate an organ a life giving organ! If it weren't for these people this could never happen!

Sorry so long guys had to get that out!

He has been in surgery for 8 hours No word yet

So I finally got to have a short conversations with my friend and I found out that they went ahead and did a DOUBLE lung transplant as he did need both. He was in surgery for a while but the doctors came out and said he was looking well but the first 24-48 hours are crucial to his recovery.

Wow I cant even imagine... it gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes... Thank god he has a donor and I will say a prayer for him

I am so happy to hear he is getting a lung! I firmly believe in donating my organs when I pass. My family and FH think I'm weird but it is things like this that confirm my plans.

It's a blessing to hear that their is a lung available for him because of the many throngs of people on the waiting list. I hope and pray for your best friend that her father has a speedy recovery.

i will pray for him. Do you know what happened that he needed a lung transplant? My Fh aunt has Alph 1 which over time your lungs die. Now she is on a transplant list too. So she is patiently waititng. Is he at columbian hospital in the city? :::Good Vibes:::::
