Leonard's Review

I was in my friend's wedding this Saturday. I had soooo much fun! Even though it was like one of teh hottest days of the year we had the best time. Here's a mini-review:
we were in the penthouse - the room was GORGEOUS!!! We got to see it before everyone went in - it looked like a fairy tale. Unfortunately my camera died and i have no pics from there =(
Leonard's CH:
The food was really good. I had fried calamari which was delicious and very tender, tortellini alfredo, gnocchi with pesto (i didnt like that too much), stuffed cherry peppers, and asst. meats and cheeses. There was much, much, much more food but i couldnt possible eat it all! The bartenders were great and made delicious raspberry martinis.

The food at the reception was pretty good. We started with a fruit plate (i didnt eat much of it because the waiter took it away while i was still eating). Then we had pasta, salad which i didnt get to eat since i was dancing up a storm and for the main course i had the salmon in dill sauce. The drinks at the reception were pretty weak and they didnt bring them to your table which I thought was kind of weird, but i did like that they gave you shots in actual shot glasses which most places DONT do.

The Vienese hour was really good - i had tiramisu which was awesome. I thought it was so cute they had a cookies and milk table. Cookies were so good - really soft and chewy. I also had some strawberries dipped in teh chocolate fountain - strwberries were good but i didnt like the chocolate too much.

Im not sure who the DJ was, but they were amazing - they played great music and everyone (except for the really elderly people) danced all night long.

We also took pics at the park by the whitestone bridge - i would definitely reccommend that location - it was sooo beautfiul!

FH wasnt with me (he was the best man in another wedding) but i had the most fun at this wedding than any other i have been to. I only have some pics my mom took at church but she hasnt given them to me yet

no problem!
Definitely leave yourself enough time to take pics there - its gorgeous inside and out! In this wedding we didnt take any pics at the hall (i think it was because of the heat though)

thanks for the review Jenn!! my bff (who posted above is getting married there.......I'm taking pics at the park by the Whitestone Bridge- so I'm happy to hear it was nice!! I haven't had time to scout out the location, I've never been there, but my DOC recommended it! can't wait.....t minus 19 days!

thank you SOOOOOOO much!!! the only thing that had me slightly concerned was that it's a public space, and its not like I'd have 'reserved' time there, so there could be another bridal party that shows up.....that happened to my sister at a park in Long Island....it was annoying to feel rushed. but at least I know its worth it from your review!!

there were people in the park but only like 3 - 2 of them were this really old couple and they were watching us - it was adorable - i hope the photog got a pic of them looking at the bride and groom!
Then there was this guy who was like straing and he was behind us so we just was like hey we're taking pictures can u move and he did
